Excellent reference on production and inventory control

Yes, it's a bit expensive, but this book is enormous and packed full of information. At 1200 pages, you're probably not going to read this from cover to cover. Instead, you'll want to have this on your shelf whenever you need information on production and inventory management. The book is actually a compilation of chapters by various authors. On the plus side, this results in having each topic covered by an expert on that specific topic. On the minus side, it results in some redundancy from chapter to chapter and inconsistency in the quality of each chapter.
What's great about this book is that if you need information on a topic related to production and inventory management, you are almost certain to find the topic covered in this book. I definitely recommend this as the starting point in your manufacturing operations library.

A Quick Read But Needs Work

I give credit to the author as its not easy getting a book together, it was a quick read however. The recommendations for various food groups are solid but the free meal plan may not be for everyone. The breakfasts really bulk up on the fiber plus recommending fruit juices which sure they are high in calories but also high in sugar. Lots of fiber means meeting your water quota and then some. I'd put in there: Mango, Grapes, Granny Smith Apples, Plantains, Figs as a substitution. Its very general, so would have liked to have seen before and afters, a more personal journey, it cover lots of text book 'work out the muscles and less cardio' however even us skinny gals can have heart disease from eating poorly (raises hand) and become pre-diabetic. Good luck tho and good start.

Its never too late

I really enjoyed the book, I am 59 years old and found the book to be very helpful at my age. There were very helpful techniques for doing certain exercises to build a little muscle in certain areas. I enjoyed learning about the different food choices to use as well as certain combinations to eat during the day. What I like most about the book is that it was short and to the point, and as a result I was able to get started right away. Thank you for sharing your wonderful and timing experience.

As the eagerly awaited follow-on to 500 Chairs and 500 Tables, this tome shows us the best of designer makers not only in the USA but further afield - UK, Finland, Israel, Holland, Australia and Ireland, making this book much more interesting to dedicated followers of fine furniture fashions. It is a marker of time, showing the state of the art of designing and making mainly wooden furntire as we see it today in 2010. Now there's a thing - one can repeat this book title in, say, 10 years time. What will we see then? Excellent for Creativity and Inspriation

Although some comments refer to this book as a picture book, which is true, I found it to be excellent. There are many fine designs (and some very weird ones) that can challenge your thinking, especially if you are like me, and you like to see lots of photos to get your brain working when trying to find inspiration for unique work. This book is not for everyone, but it was perfect for me.
