senior level experience in multifamily asset and property management,

A Very Long Ad for Hiring out Your Property Management

I read this book hoping to learn how to do property management. Most of the book is a very persuasive narrative against managing your own properties. I'm a stay at home Mom, looking to buy a small rental and manage it myself. I am very time-rich (a little bored at times!), so a lot of his arguments didn't apply to me. There's still some good information in there, so I didn't completely hate it. Also, I was really excited about the list of free property management forms that he says are available to download on his site. It's a SCAM. I signed up for it, and all it did was add me to the email list. No documents.

It was a good read and gave great advice for those who own apartment buildings or commercial real estate. I was able to glean from it in many ways but I was looking for advice as a residential landlord who owns a handful of single family homes. (14 homes)

Learned a lot. The only dislike is it pushes you in a way to use a management company and doesn't teach you as much as I would of liked.
